This is the part we care most about. If we are going to rate hosting providers, people deserve to know who is on the platform, who we run on ourselves, and where anyone involved has a connection worth declaring. None of it is buried in a policy nobody reads. It is this page.
What a provider pays, and which plan they are on, has no effect on how their reviews are collected, weighted, ordered or displayed. The code that produces a star rating and a Trust Score is never handed billing information at all, so there is no route by which money could reach a score.

Reviews imported from other platforms
Some provider pages carry reviews first published somewhere else. Here is the whole rule, and it is the same rule for every company listed.
- Every review, or none. Where we import, we take every review in the window regardless of what it says. A company cannot ask us to import its good reviews, cannot ask us to leave out its bad ones, and cannot choose how far back we go. Importing is an Enterprise feature, because reading an export and deciding every review in it is work we do by hand. What it buys is that work: an imported review counts toward the star rating exactly as an unverified review written here does, and toward the Trust Score not at all.
- The same window for everyone. We take reviews originally published within the last 3 years. That figure is set here, published here, and applies to every provider on the site.
- They move the stars and nothing else. An imported review counts toward a company's star rating, because somebody comparing two hosts wants every review of them in the number. It counts toward neither the Trust Score nor the per-service ratings: the Trust Score measures how a company behaves here, and a reply it wrote on another platform did not come across with the review.
- They are marked, with the platform named. Every imported review says where it came from and when it was first published.
- The person who wrote it can take it back. If a review is yours, say so on the review itself. Once we agree it is yours, it becomes your review here: you can change it, delete it, and appeal if it is ever removed.
